5 dead at Florida nursing home after Irma knocks out power”

Three people died at the nursing home, and two more were pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital.

Sharief said she did not have any details about the causes of death, and that authorities are investigating.

Rescue crews arrived at the Hollywood Hills Nursing Home shortly after 7:30 a.m.

Video from above the scene shows the buildings residents sitting on wheelchairs outside the nursing home.

Ten million people are still without power in Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas after Hurricane Irma. "We've been calling and calling".

Tuesday's low temperature in Hollywood, according to the National Weather Service, was 79 degrees.
