Amazon Might Eventually Have Something in Common With the Boston Red Sox”

Last week, it was reported that Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) was looking for a USA city to build HQ2, a $5 billion, 50,000-employee second headquarters.

Amazon is calling the new project HQ2. But Boston is said to be a strong consideration due to its proximity to top universities including Harvard and MIT, as well it's Logan Airport which offers nonstop flights to the company's main base in Seattle.

Gov. Brian Sandoval says Nevada is looking to become the future site for Amazon's second headquarters.

"Amazon is a big opportunity that Boston has to review", Walsh said in a statement.

One sticking point for Amazon workers is the high cost of living in the Boston area, according to Bloomberg. "We're just getting started & every city is on equal playing field".

The new headquarters would bring a $5 billion investment and 50,000 new jobs over the next two decades to whichever city gets the gig.
