Andrew Bogut could sign with one of four teams by next week”

With training camp less than two weeks away, Andrew Bogut is set to clear the final stage of his rehab before signing with an National Basketball Association team, according to Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe.

Andrew Bogut is nearing a return to the National Basketball Association, and the Celtics are reportedly among the four teams interested in the Australian big man's services. Though they haven't committed to any direction with that slot, Bogut would address their most obvious need, rebounding, and would be the team's only 7-footer. "Teams I've played for, teams that have played against me know the value I have".

As the roster stands now, the Celtics frontcourt looks small and inexperienced. He played in just 27 games past year between the Dallas Mavericks and Cavaliers, averaging 2.9 points and 8.1 rebounds in just over 21 minutes per game. Helping Boston's depth, Marcus Morris and Semi Ojeleye can operate as stretch big men and Jaylen Brown/Jayson Tatum could also be ready for minutes at the 4. Bogut's skill set could make the pairing a good one for both sides, but he does have a history of health issues.

Andrew Bogut might have seen an early end to his season, leaving 58 seconds into his debut with the Cleveland Cavaliers due to a leg fracture that saw his 2016-17 campaign wrap up earlier than he would've liked - but that doesn't mean his career is done.

He wound up with the Cavs after being picked up from waivers, but was unfortunate to not have a longer stay with the team after his injury.
