Arizona Senator John McCain to continue cancer treatments

Arizona Senator John McCain to continue cancer treatments”

Arizona Senator John McCain received an MRI at the National Institutes of Health on Monday, according to a release from his office.

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) will undergo treatment for brain cancer in the Washington area as he continues to attend to his duties in the Senate, his office announced Tuesday.

McCain, who's 81 years old, was diagnosed with brain cancer in July, following surgery for a blood clot.

McCain did have praise for his own Senate Armed Services Committee, which unanimously went on to pass his bill.

McCain said he was now seeking to remove language from a defense authorization bill being discussed in Senate this week that would have expanded opportunities for US training of Myanmar military in areas like maritime security and combating human trafficking.
