Changes in the new iTunes

According to the Apple support page, the change is coming because "the new iTunes focuses on music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and audiobooks". As you might be already aware, the App Store has been an integral part of the iTunes app and its removal indicates that the Cupertino-based company wants to shift the app's focus to music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and other entertainment choices.

Apple has also simplified things elsewhere, noting that iTunes U content is now included in the Podcasts section of the app, and internet radio stations are in the music library sidebar. Today, Apple quietly released iTunes version 12.7 for both Windows and macOS, and the most immediate change is that it no longer contains any options for syncing apps or ringtones to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

With iOS 11, you'll be able to download previously purchased ringtones directly to your phone too. Members can create profiles and follow each other to see music they are listening to and any playlists they've shared. The App Store available on iOS devices will be the only place to get, update, and redownload apps.

Do you like this change or did you enjoy managing your iOS devices' apps on your computer?
