Ghost Recon Wildlands' competitive multiplayer mode is getting an open beta soon

Ghost Recon Wildlands' competitive multiplayer mode is getting an open beta soon”

Ubisoft announces a new PvP mode called Ghost War will be coming to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands.

Those looking for more information about Ghost War and the open beta can tune into the Ghost War Premiere on the Ubisoft Twitch channel September 19 at 12pm ET/ 5pm BST for a first look at the PvP. Players will pick between 12 classes across Assault, Marksman, and Support categories and do battle across large-scale maps.

In Ghost War, two teams of four players against each other in typical Team Deathmatch fashion, though the developers say that the tactical squad play present in the main game will be critical to win these online matches. Each of these classes will fulfill a specific function on the battlefield and they will have their distinct characteristics, weapons, perks and customization options. Though the teams are small, Ubisoft is promising large scale maps for the game mode, which makes sense considering how sprawling its recreated Bolivia is in the base game.

The stand-alone open beta will be available for preload starting September 19th for both Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands owners and new players who do not own the base game.

The beta will feature six of the twelve classes, and you can familiarize yourself with the Ghost War PvP classes Sniper, Scout and Pointman through a class-specific trailer.

Though far from ideal, Ghost Recon Wildlands is one of the most effective franchise reboots in recent memory. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
