Kristaps Porzingis: New York Knicks star gets into scuffle with Anthony Randolph”

Kristaps Porzingis says former Knick Anthony Randolph's apparent attempt to throw the NY star to the floor was just part of Randolph's dirty play Wednesday at EuroBasket2017 in Istanbul. "What happened in the end was natural".

As Porzingis was crashing the basket late looking for an offensive rebound during Latvia's elimination game against Slovenia, Randolph hooked Porzingis' arm and tried to toss the young National Basketball Association star to the ground. Randolph then appeared to try and throw the young National Basketball Association superstar to the floor.

The pair had to be separated and each received a technical foul.

Next year's potential No. 1 pick, Luka Doncic, scored 27 points and added nine rebounds to lift Slovenia past Porzingis' Latvia 103-97 in the quarterfinals of the European Championships in Istanbul - a physical match that almost came to blows. The two did not disappoint, as they both had strong games for their home countries, Dragic finished with 26 points six rebounds, eight assists and a steal while Porzingis had 34 points, six rebounds, and a blocked shot. With their lineups including some of the best players of the tournament, many had their eyes set on Miami Heat point guard Goran Dragic and New York Knicks big man Kristaps Porzingis.

Slovenia sensation Luka Doncic, thought by some as a possible future No. 1 pick, scored 27 points and had nine rebounds in the win. Randolph scored 16 points and had nine rebounds. "He's only 18 years of age but he plays with such calmness". I'm his roommate.don't get me wrong, he's still a kid. He averaged 2.1 points and 2.4 rebounds in 17 games for the Knicks in 2010, but never started for the franchise. He also played for the Golden State Warriors, Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets, averaging 7.1 points per game during his six-year National Basketball Association career.

Doncic will see another Knick in the semifinal when Slovenia takes on Willy Hernangomez and Spain, an 84-72 victor over Germany in another quarterfinal.

The Knicks begin training camp on September 25.
