Larry King Reveals His Secret Battle With Lung Cancer

Larry King Reveals His Secret Battle With Lung Cancer”

King has battled multiple health issues over the years, including a heart attack in the '80s, prostate cancer and a type 2 diabetes diagnosis. "They tested it. They said, 'You are fine.' It was stage 1".

"I go for my checkup and they say, 'Let's do a chest X-ray, and the doctor said to me, 'Something looks amusing, '" he recalled. If King had waited two or three years, he would have been in trouble. "Thirty years later, I said to the doctor, 'Is this connected with that?' Absolutely". "Let's do a CAT scan, '" King, 83, said.

Larry says the cancer was in very early stages, and it was discovered during the summer when he got a chest X-ray. "They are all painless".

As for what's next? "I've done comedy, stand-up, I tell stories, I've written 15 books, I have done television [and] radio", King muses.

King, who hosted CNN's pioneering "Larry King Live" from 1985 to 2010, praised his medical team for their delivery of the unnerving news. "I would like to do six months on Broadway", he revealed. "I feel good, I get my checkups, I stay healthy and I'm active". "I will probably die on the air".

Despite his many health crises over the years, King doesn't plan to retire. "I've never ever felt better than I do now". However, he can add one more accomplishment to that list: beating cancer.

We like to think of Larry King as indestructible. The latest episode features Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott.
