Man Shot On Boston Common, 2 In Custody, Police Confirm”

A 19-year-old man from Hyde Park is fighting for his life after a shooting on the Boston Common Tuesday evening.

Boston Emergency Medical Services said the shooting victim was found by the grandstand at the Boston Common. The two injured were believed to have suffered non-life threatening injuries to their lower bodies. Boston Police Commissioner William Evans said that all three were known to each other. The MBTA said trains on the Red and Green lines are delayed due to the investigation.

A video posted to Twitter showed people leaving the Boylston T stop.

"If you are on campus, go to the nearest available room and lock/barricade the doors, and silence phone", read an Emerson College statement. The shelter in place order was just after 7:30 p.m.
