Marshawn Lynch to star in Facebook reality show

"Marshawn Lynch is getting his own reality show".

"Beast Mode" Marshawn Lynch is about to go into reality mode for a new show on Facebook. Many people are happy to watch short clips on the social network, but it's too early to say whether or not many people are willing to head to Facebook for professional programming instead of heading to YouTube or subscribing to the likes of Amazon and Netflix.

The former Seattle Seahawks running back will star in "No Script" - eight, 10 to 15-minute mini-episodes featuring Lynch involved in various hijinks. In the first episode, Lynch reportedly takes race auto driving lessons until he ruins the tires.

Knowing Lynch is not afraid to drop a profanity or two, it remains to be seen if this show will be censored or show him in full Beast Mode.

Lynch is one of the NFL's most popular personalities, recently coming out of a one-year retirement to sign with the Raiders this season.

Facebook Inc is paying Time Warner Inc's Bleacher Report millions of dollars for a reality show on National Football League player Marshawn Lynch, the sports site told Reuters - a sign that the social media firm is willing to pay top dollar to lure viewers and ads to its Watch video service.

"We think we have a big hit on our hands", Rory Brown, president of Bleacher Report, told Reuters.
