Noel Gallagher Addresses Manchester Concert 'Tears', After Liam's 'PR Stunt' Accusations

Noel Gallagher Addresses Manchester Concert 'Tears', After Liam's 'PR Stunt' Accusations”

NOEL GALLAGHER has hit back at his brother Liam, who accused him of shedding crocodile tears in a "publicity stunt" during his gig for the Manchester Arena bombing victims.

Gallagher topped a bill which also included appearances from The Courteeners, Blossoms and more.

Referring to photos of himself appearing to wipe away tears at the weekend, Noel, 50 - who sang Don't Look Back In Anger - told Radio X's Chris Moyles: 'I wasn't actually crying.

'I actually promised myself before I went on because you kinda got to detach yourself from it because it's very easy to kinda get caught up in the moment, ' he said. "In a minute's silence, for something so horrific that people are in their own thoughts and silence, and then one girl breaks the silence by singing that song and everybody joins you and they are all together in that moment, music really is important".

"I read somewhere that I was crying, but I'm sorry to say I wasn't crying", Noel added.

Noel headlined a show at Manchester Arena, to commemorate the venue reopening following the devastating terrorist attack earlier in the year.

"If the same thing had have gone [off] in Edinburgh he'd been up there like a shot".

He ranted: 'Manchester id like to apologise for my brothers absence last night very disappointed stay handsome stay safe (sic)'.

The former Oasis guitarist headlined the re-opening of the Manchester Arena, which has been closed since a horrific terrorist attack took place at an Ariana Grande concert in May, on Saturday night (09.09.17) and he admits he was anxious his emotions would get the better of him when he had to play the anthem.

Now, will these two ever bury the hatchet?
