Qualcomm trolls Apple the day before the new iPhone”

Apple's iPhone event is what everyone is looking forward to today, but Qualcomm is set to rain on the Cupertino's company parade.

Those following iPhone 8 rumors already know that the innovations Qualcomm mentioned are all things the iPhone 8 is expected to have, or if not the iPhone 8, the other iterative iPhone upgrades Apple might unveil alongside.

While the company has pointed some interesting things in which Android devices have actually brought in first when compared to the iPhone, there is a reason why Apple's mobile devices are sold in the millions; not being biased but that is the truth, no matter how hard it is to fathom for the Android fanboy.

The company lists plenty of manufacturers that it has worked closely. It then also says that in future too the iPhone and Apple will continue to be followers instead of leaders.

"We're working on inventing the next set of world firsts and collaborating with partners across the industry to get them into your hands, on a band around your wrist, or with lenses for over your eyes", the post concludes.

Qualcomm's list of firsts for the smartphone industry is basically a roundup of features rumored to be in the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and higher-end iPhone X.

How about OLED displays? And there are very solid facts on this list.

Qualcomm's fast charging feature also known as Quick Charge is available on Snapdragon mobile chipset powered smartphones. It is odd to see Galaxy S8 here as it not features a single rear camera.

- The iPhone X is supposed to come with 3D face scanning that will enable a user to unlock the phone through face scanning. It now mentions three smartphones like HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8 as dual camera technology enabled smartphones.

Other than these key features, Qualcomm talks about a number of other features.

The first thing that jumps out are listings for "Fingerprint under Display" and "Depth Sensing Via Structured light", which are attributed to Qualcomm reference design handsets (AKA tech demos). It seems to be saying that whatever Apple unveils on September 12, it won't have anything that hasn't been on an Android phone before.

Qualcomm says it helps "countless companies across the globe to commercialize our inventions at both speed and scale, and with a choice for consumers on price points and features".
