Randy Moss Gets Vikings Highest Honor

Randy Moss Gets Vikings Highest Honor”

Monday night's opening game featured a plethora of tributes to legendary Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss, with current wideouts Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs wearing cleats that showcased artwork honoring Moss ahead of his induction into the Vikings' Ring of Honor at halftime.

Randy Moss ended his induction ceremony into the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor by giving a loud chant of SKOL, which was answered by the wonderful fans in attendance and followed by an overwhelming chorus of applause. He was honored at a luncheon earlier on Monday, and got a little misty-eyed and choked up when talking about the honor and what it meant to him.

Diggs first had cleats made to honor Moss. Storylines run rampant in U.S. Bank Stadium, including Adrian Peterson playing against his former team, or the hype surrounding the first MNF game.

Moss wore a purple suit and tie, flanked on a makeshift stage at the center of the field by owners Zygi, Mark, and Leonard Wilf. He played four games for the Vikings in 2010, also bouncing around to the Titans and Patriots that season.

With a whole half left to go and with Diggs already on fire in this one, we could see some more Randy Moss tributes before the night is over.
