Future and Cher Sing a Duet in New Gap Ad

Future and Cher Sing a Duet in New Gap Ad”

Cher and Future are in many ways an unlikely pairing - Cher has always been dubbed the "Goddess of Pop" while Future has become one of hip-hop's most notable figures - but on Wednesday (Sept. 13) their two worlds collided in the newest installment of GAP's Meet Me in the Gap campaign, giving fans a taste of what a potential duet from the duo would sound like.

In the 30-second clip, Cher and Future duet to the tune of Sly & the Family Stone's 1969 hit "Everyday People" while showcasing their personal style. Cher does most of the heavy lifting in the vocal department while Future sits next to her adding some auto-tuned, vocal harmonies.

"Uniting two superstars like Cher and Future proves that no matter how different we seem, there is always a common thread that we just might not have discovered yet".

"If someone says, 'Do you want to do something?,' the first thing I think of is, 'Oh that would be fun, ' and that's how I decide", Cher recently told recently told Vogue about the spot.

"It was cool to work with someone who is in the industry but has such a different background and life from me", he told PEOPLE.

"It's part of my DNA, growing up wearing Gap and now to see my son wearing it and in a campaign ties the whole family together", Future explains.

Future later revealed that being in the ad is part of a family legacy at this point considering his son was featured in a Gap campaign earlier this year. "She's a true performer and a legend".

"There was a great dynamic when working with Cher and we felt like we were doing something so much bigger than the two of us", said Future.
