Kirby Battle Royale Pits Kirby vs. Kirby on Nintendo 3DS

Kirby Battle Royale Pits Kirby vs. Kirby on Nintendo 3DS”

In Kirby's latest outing, you'll be battling it out against friends in local and online play in Kirby: Battle Royale, coming to the Nintendo 3DS on January 19th, 2018. Following this announcement, Nintendo released an image of the game's box art and quite a few screenshots and pieces of artwork for the game. There are ten battle modes, available both online and locally.

As you can see in the trailer below, Kirby will don several different hats, as it were, to carve through the competition. The upcoming title is slightly different from what you may have been expecting because it's a four-player, battle royale fighting game centered around isometric, beat-'em-up action on the 3DS.

To celebrate Kirby's 25th Anniversary, Nintendo is holding a poll to crown the world's favorite copy ability.

You'll be able to take on other Kirby characters as well, such as within the Battle Arena, where the most powerful Kirby will be the last one standing. This game features single player gameplay with three computer counterparts (or three buddies), but the newest mechanic seems the most interesting.

You can check out the artwork, box art, and screenshots below. Kirby: Battle Royale will have Kirby face off against Kirby, Kirby and Kirby to determine which Kirby is the best Kirby.
