Cincinnati Bengals to fire OC after rough start to season

Cincinnati Bengals to fire OC after rough start to season”

The Cincinnati Bengals have fired offensive coordinator Ken Zampese following the team's lackluster 0-2 start, the team announced Friday. Prior to serving as the Bengals' offensive coordinator, Zampese was the team's quarterbacks coach from 2003 all the way through 2015.

Cincinnati was shut out in its opener against the Ravens last weekend and managed just three field goals in a 13-9 loss to the Texans on Thursday night.

Zampese was Cincinnati's quarterbacks coach for 13 seasons before moving up to coordinator previous year when Hue Jackson went to Cleveland as the head coach.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was first to report the news.

Cincinnati's offense has been all sorts of bad through the first two games. However, most of their offense has played together for some time now.

Andy Dalton is not a top-tier quarterback, but he has been their starter since 2011.
