Going pink for the Breast Cancer Trust

Going pink for the Breast Cancer Trust”

A police department in DE will soon be sporting a new look.

The "Fill Your Boots" fundraiser will be held again this year during Pinctober (Breast Cancer Awareness Month) after the inaugural event last year raised $7000-8000.

East Dunbartonshire MP Jo Swinson has dressed in pink to lend her support to Breast Cancer Now's flagship fundraiser, wear it pink, which will see thousands of people across the United Kingdom adding a splash of pink to their outfits on Friday, October 20.

The Pink Patches are meant to stimulate conversation with the community and encourage public awareness of early detection and the ongoing fight against this disease. For those interested in supporting them, you can purchase caps and patches at the Milford Police Department.

Breast cancer is New Zealand's third most common cancer and accounts for more than 600 deaths every year.

In 2017, an estimated 246,600 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the United States and more than 40,000 will die.

Patrick lost his mother to breast cancer in 2008 after a 14- year battle.
