Led by Manmohan Singh, the Congress delegation comprises Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Union minister P Chidambaram, Congress party's J&K in-charge Ambika Soni, and Rajya Sabha member Karan Singh.

Apart from meeting various delegations former Prime Minister is all addressing PCC Executive at 1150 Hr on 16th and CLP meeting on 17th Sept at 9.30 AM, at Hari Niwas, Srinagar as mentioned above.

Former Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh-led policy planning group of the Congress will arrive in Srinagar on a two-day visit to study the ground situation in Kashmir on Saturday.

Earlier, after reached Hari Niwas, Azad told reporters that no meeting has been fixed between the delegation and Hurriyat.

Speaking at a conference here, Azad said, "One soldier was beheaded during the UPA government in Jammu and Kashmir by terrorists and the BJP exploited the issue to the hilt against the Congress. Such incidents have also taken place during Modi government and they do not talk about it now".

The team will also meet members of other political parties. Since the NDA came to power in J&K, there has been a perception in Kashmir, and in Muslim areas of Jammu, that Muslims are being pushed to the wall.

"It is for Mehbooba and Modi to decide who are the stakeholders", he said adding, "They are shying away from naming stakeholders and how can they run the government".
