New "Statement" jerseys for every team first on display in 'NBA 2K18'


The "statement" jersey Nike revealed for each team came along with the announcement that the new wave of jerseys will contain some pretty cool technologct.

The new black "Statement" jersey joins the two previously released home and away jerseys from Nike. On Friday night, Nike revealed all of them in one big show. According to a report from ESPN, the new jerseys are also "smart" jerseys, which means that scanning the jersey's tag with a phone will bring up highlights for the player and team on the jersey.

The Oklahoma City Thunder unveiled their newest uniform, a solid navy alternate to their revamped originals.

It's a little hard to see, but there are some new jerseys up there mixed in with the teams that made a decision to keep their old styles.

At an event in Los Angeles new National Basketball Association jersey supplier Nike billed as an "Innovation Summit", a gold Jazz jersey was revealed along with threads for the 29 other teams in the league that Nike is calling the "Statement" jersey. It will be interesting to see what style changes teams go through during the next few years.
