Trump says travel ban 'should be far larger'

Trump says travel ban 'should be far larger'”

President Trump quickly reacted to the explosion on a London subway train Friday that police are treating as an act of terrorism, tweeting that the internet should be "cut off" because of extremists.

"Another attack in London by a loser terrorist", the United States president tweeted.

In his fourth and - so far - final post, Trump said his "proactive and nasty" approach had allowed the USA to make "more progress in the last nine months against ISIS than the Obama Administration has made in eight years".

Moments later, he added: "Loser terrorists must be dealt with in a much tougher manner. The internet is their main recruitment tool which we must cut off & use better!" he wrote on Twitter.

Trump has been outspoken about the terror threat in London, urging the public to "stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security of our people" after the attack by the London Bridge in June, which killed seven and injured dozens.

Trump, addressing reporters briefly on camera, called the attack "an absolutely awful thing".

Trump tweeted Friday: "Another attack in London by a loser terrorist".

"We have to be tougher and we have to be smarter", Trump told reporters before going into the Oval Office.

"We have made more progress in the last nine months against the ISIS than the Obama administration has made in eight years".

But May dismissed the speculative tweet from Trump that claimed Scotland Yard had the so-called "bucket bomber" in terror attack on a London Underground train in their "sights".

He was tweeting just hours after an explosive device went off on the District Line train while it was in a station in south west London. "Must be proactive and nasty!", the United States president said in another tweet.

As a candidate, Trump often pledged to "bomb the hell out of ISIS" and vowed to enact a Muslim ban.

In that case, the information Trump shared with the Russians about an ISIS plot to use an explosive tucked inside a laptop computer to bring down a USA -bound airplane was quickly traced back to an Israeli source.

Police say it's "too early to confirm the cause of the fire, which will be subject to the investigation that is now underway by the Met's Counter Terrorism Command". The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments on October 10 on the legality of the bans on travelers from six mostly Muslim countries and refugees anywhere in the world.

Since no information about the perpetrator or perpetrators of the bombing had yet been publicly released, Trump's tweet left people wondering if he was alluding to intelligence information.

In response to that controversy, Trump took to Twitter to point out that as president, he has "the absolute right" to share whatever intelligence he wants to with foreign agents.
