Moon, Trump vow stronger pressure against North Korea

Moon, Trump vow stronger pressure against North Korea”

He further stressed that the country should be prepared for a nuclear counter-attack, which the "U.S. can not cope with".

The government said the photos, released to North Korea's Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), depict an intermediate range Hwasong-12 missile, the same model launched over Japan on Friday and on August 29. "This includes the regime of North Korea, which has once again shown its utter contempt for its neighbors and for the entire world community".

In a phone conversation Sunday, South Korean President Moon Jae-In and Trump "gravely condemned" the latest missile test on Friday, which came just days after United Nations Security Council announced a raft of new sanctions against Pyongyang.

US president Donald Trump said that he is "more confident than ever that our options in addressing this threat are both effective and overwhelming". Only now, the threat is heightened. They plan to meet this week at the U.N. General Assembly.

Haley tells CNN's "State of the Union" that the U.N. Security Council has basically exhausted its diplomatic options for dealing with North Korea.

"I believe it will further North Korea's isolation - diplomatic and economic isolation - because more and more nations are realising there's simply no collaboration with the global community".

North Korea fired the intermediate-range ballistic missile over Japan that landed in the Pacific, responding to new United Nations sanctions with its furthest-ever missile flight.

At the White House, McMaster called on nations to aggressively enforce recent U.N. sanctions to increase economic pressure.

Last week, Trump and his top national security advisers said that there are military options available despite doubts from some experts. "Now, it's not what we would prefer to do".

"Sanctions are indeed ineffective, especially in the case of North Korea, because the country is self-sufficient. They should do more to find effective ways to resume dialogue and negotiation", he said, while adding that China would never accept North Korea as a nuclear weapons state.

Trump also says long gas lines are forming in North Korea, calling it "too bad". And right now, I don't have any more forensics on it.
