Iran says it won't be 'bullied' by United States over nuclear deal

Iran says it won't be 'bullied' by United States over nuclear deal”

The Iran deal is not a fair deal to this country. "We will also hold talks with heads of European, Asian, African and Latin American countries".

"Corrupt, lying USA officials blatantly accuse Iran of lying". In comments to reporters aboard Air Force One, Trump repeated his campaign pronouncement that the deal is bad and again said he believes Iran is violating its terms and spirit.

"The administration did approve waivers in order to maintain some flexibility as we consult on Capitol Hill and among allies and partners to address the flaws in the JCPOA [the nuclear deal], and additional time to develop our policy to address the full range of Iranian malign behavior", State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said.

Tillerson justified his illogical stance by saying, "We have to consider the totality of Iran's activities and not let our view be defined exclusively by the nuclear agreement".

The Trump administration on Thursday extended sanctions relief to Iran, avoiding imminent action that could implode the landmark 2015 nuclear deal, even as President Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson accused Tehran of not respecting the entire agreement.

The president is seeking to take a more aggressive approach, according to administration officials.

He may have also been reacting to later news regarding an upcoming meeting between Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu on a plan to demand that Iran amend the deal to allow inspection of its centrifuges.

Earlier this month, US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said the agreement "falls short of what was promised".

The president said he is going to deliver an address to the UNGA and hold separate meetings with media directors, with politicians and intellectuals from the American think tanks, with Islamic leaders and with Iranian expatriates living in the United States during his stay in NY. But no decision has been made on whether to preserve the deal itself.
