Porsche Mission E To Start At About $85000

Porsche Mission E To Start At About $85000”

Fast forward to this year's Frankfurt Auto Show and Porsche CEO Oliver Blume has told Car Magazine that public trials of the car will be happening soon whilst the final production model is "very close" to completion.

Porsche's first all-electric auto will go on sale at the end of 2019, the vehicle maker revealed at this year's Frankfurt Motor Show, with pricing similar to the current Porsche Panamera, so likely starting around at least $85,000 in the U.S.

That's an astonishingly low price point for an electric Porsche, but it does look like Porsche will be delivering the Mission E in a variety of options - just like its other models.

Porsche has yet to say what will power the Mission E but the concept had a total of 600 hp on tap. It's a four-door sports auto, and is gearing up for its initial public prototype tests. According to Mr. Blume, Porsche's Mission E will be priced similarly to an entry-level Porsche Panamera. And this is the non-Prius type which can see the Mission E sprint from 0 - 100km/h in under 3.5 seconds via a 440kW (600hp) electric motor.

So you can probably expect the range-topping 600bhp, four-wheel drive Mission E to have a price point more like the Panamera Turbo (around £115k) or even the Panamera S E-Hybrid (around £140k). We are in series engineering phase -Blume told auto.

As for charge, it could get as much as 300 miles on a single full battery.
