Second Suspect Arrested in London, Terror Threat Lowers to Severe”

A 21-year-old man was arrested in the west London suburb of Hounslow in connection with the blast on a packed underground train at a London station on Friday.

In a statement on Friday, the group said an ISIS "detachment" had carried out the London attack.

Police said they are searching a residential address in Stanwell, Surrey, in conjunction with this arrest.

At "critical" level soldiers and armed police are deployed to secure strategic sites and hunt down the perpetrators of an imminent attack.

The incident, in which 30 people were injured, saw an improvised bomb fail to explode properly at Parsons Green station in south west London.

The last time Britain was put on "critical" alert was after a suicide bomber killed 22 people, including children, at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester in May.

British police said Sunday they had made a second arrest in connection with the bombing of a London Underground train, as their probe into the terror attack widened.

So far on Saturday, a house in Sunbury-On-Thames has been raided by what appears to be a bomb squad unit.

Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said that investigations were continuing despite the "significant arrest". "I just had this feeling, 'Was I going to die?'" she said.

This attack is the 5 terrorist attack on the the past six months.

Some of the injured have flash burns, others were hurt in the crush to get out of Parsons Green station during the busy Friday morning peak. In June, a trio of Daesh-associated Islamic extremists conducted a van-ramming attack on London bridge, killing eight before being shot dead by police.

Police are combing through closed-circuit TV images and have extensively studied the remains of the device without giving details about it.
