Shiv Sena issues ultimatum to BJP

Shiv Sena issues ultimatum to BJP”

Ramdas Kadam said that all the MLAs told Thackeray about the situation and when it comes time to take the proper decision, he said.

The MP's tweets came on the day Shiv Sena members were in a huddle at the party headquarters in Matoshree.

Asked about what transpired in the meeting, Mr Raut said, "All Sena leaders put forth their views in front of the party chief on whether or not to continue in the government". In a series of tweets, he expressed how it was becoming hard to face the people over BJP's policies and distanced his party from the same.

Party MP Sanjay Raut spoke to ANI and was quoted saying that they were "not responsible and didn't want to share the blame" of an "unprecedented price rise" and of issues of farmers being unresolved. Yes, Shiv Sena is close to a decision.

Sena slammed Union minister Alphons Kannanthanam's remarks on fuel price hike calling it an "insult" to the poor and the middle class. On Monday, the senior Sena leadership met with party chief Uddhav Thackeray and passed a joint resolution supporting a proposal to withdraw support.

The price of the fuels has reached the highest in three-year time recently.

After attending a closed-door meeting called by Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray, where partymen debated the pros and cons of snapping ties with the BJP, Sanjay Raut said that people of the country are suffering because of the rising fuel prices and his party does not intend to become a part of this.

While former Shiv Sena rebel and Congress leader Narayan Rane is waiting in the wings to join the BJP, the Shiv Sena has served yet another ultimatum to walk out of the Devendra Fadnavis-led dispensation in which it is a junior partner. In Maharashtra, it has opposed the BJP, criticising government policies from the inside. Then, they are required to shell out higher prices for transportation of their farm produce to the distant markets.

However, Shelar said the formation of the sub-committee was the "first step" by the BJP government to ensure that the Maratha reservation issue stood legal scrutiny. "'Achhe Din' are being killed daily", it said.

In an editorial in party mouthpiece "Saamana", it said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe held a big roadshow in Ahmedabad. Actually, it is those people who are praising the Bullet Train who are lunatics and deserve to be packed off to mental hospitals", the Sena said.

At a time when people do not have food to eat, the condition of the farmers is deteriorating and the nation is hit with inflation and unemployment, if there is anyone praising the bullet train project, "they should be sent to a mental hospital for examination of their state of mind".
