West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, while commenting on the Rohingyas issue, on Friday asserted that the state government can't compromise on any terrorist activity. Many Muslim leaders and organisations had taken out rallies in the city in support of Rohingya Muslims and sources said that they had the support of some of the top TMC leaders as well as Muslim ministers of Mamata's cabinet.

Earlier in the day, the Centre filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court on deportation of Rohingya Muslims from India and said that the illegal influx of the refugees will adversely affect the fundamental rights of Indian citizens and cause a threat to the national security.

She said that the Left government threw her out of West Bengal because they thought they will get Muslim votes. A few can be terrorists. "There may be some good and bad people in each community". We can not compromise with any terrorist activities. "If the reopening of the tea gardens and the pending bonus does not happen we will have to take some alternative action", Banerjee told reporters.

During today's meeting with Tamang, Banerjee said she also inquired about the current situation in the Hill areas. But the commoners should not suffer. Commoners must not suffer because if they do then humanity will suffer. We belive that all commoners are not terrorists. Mamata also categorically opposed deportation of Rohingyas saying West Bengal child rights commission had not agreed to the proposal of the Centre. "We are really concerned".
