U.S. says North Korea endangers whole world after missile test

U.S. says North Korea endangers whole world after missile test”

France denounced "in the strongest possible terms", the latest missile launch by North korea over Japanese territory, the country's Foreign Ministry officials said.

The latest launch came days after the United Nations slapped new sanctions on Pyongyang following its sixth nuclear test earlier this month.

The missile travelled 2,300 miles and reached an altitude of 478 miles as it flew over Japan before crashing into the northern Pacific ocean.

China and Russian Federation began naval drills near North Korea on Monday amid continuing tensions over the isolated state's nuclear ambitions and ahead of a United Nations General Assembly meeting this week, where North Korea is likely to loom large.

Last month, President Trump threatened to unleash "fire and fury" on North Korea, and the US has not ruled out a nuclear first strike.

Abe, who was in India on Thursday, launch the bullet train project with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad.

On Friday morning, North Korea fired a ballistic missile over Hokkaido - the second missile fired over Japan since the one that occurred last month and the first since North Korea conducted its sixth nuclear test.

President Donald Trump has responded to past North Korea nuclear and missile tests with a series of threats against Pyongyang, including a vow to meet its aggression with "fire and fury".

In its statement, the 15-nation council called on all countries to "fully, comprehensively and immediately" implement all U.N. sanctions. It shows that the missile used, believed to have been a Hwasong-12, would have been able to hit USA bases on Guam, about 2,100 miles away. He believes the Kim regime is trying to create chaos, and divide US military alliances.

The United States and Japan requested the meeting, which will be held at 3 pm (1900 GMT), according to the Ethopian council presidency.

The objective of the meeting "is to discuss ways the Security Council can better enforce the resolutions it has adopted to prevent the spread of the world's most risky weapons", said a United States concept note on the meeting obtained by AFP on Saturday.

The Pentagon deployed a formation of 14 bombers and fighters over the Korean Peninsula on Sunday that also included South Korean and Japanese aircraft, the latest show of force in response to North Korea's missile launches and nuclear tests. The presidential Blue House has called an urgent National Security Council meeting. "There's not a whole lot the Security Council is going to be able to do from here, when you've cut 90% of the trade and 30% of the oil", she said.
