Hillary Clinton's What Happened sells 300000 copies in first week”

According to sales figures from Nielsen BookScan, which tracks 85 percent of book sales across the country (excluding digital and audio sales), Clinton has sold 167,000 hardcover copies of What Happened since it came out on September 12.

The book has been at or near the top of Amazon's best-seller list since its release.

Clinton's other Republican rivals fared even worse.

When Hillary Clinton took the guest's seat on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", she was in a mood to put Russian President Vladimir Putin on the psychiatrist's couch.

"In its candor and immediacy, What Happened is satisfying that demand".

What Happened sold 168,000 hardcover copies alone, which represents the highest sales for a nonfiction book since 2012, when Mark Owen's No Easy Day (which detailed the killing of Osama bin Laden) sold 250,00 copies in its first week. In conjunction with the memoir, Clinton released a picture book adaptation of her 1996 memoir, It Takes a Village.

The book details Clinton's perspective of the campaign, explaining her team's strategy and why she believes she lost to President Trump in a race nearly all observers predicted she would win easily.

In the book, Clinton points a finger at Democratic primary rival Sen.

In What Happened, Clinton offers her thoughts on Trump's campaign, his presidency so far, her primary battle with Bernie Sanders, the sexism she experienced on the campaign trail, and interference into the election by former Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey and the Russian government.

After one nationally televised interview with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow last week, the highly rated host assessed that Clinton's career as a politician is far from over. That, she said, evolved into a grudge on his part. "So, she's - this is not a retired politician".
