L'Oreal Heiress, World's Richest Woman Liliane Bettencourt Dies at 94”

Depending on her will, either her daughter or Wal-Mart heiress Alice Louise Walton is now the world's richest woman.

L´Oreal heiress Liliane Bettencourt, the world´s richest woman, has died at the age of 94, her family said.

Mrs Bettencourt was ranked the richest woman in the world with a fortune of $39.5 billion past year, making her the world's 14th richest person.

She left the company's board in 2012, but remained in the news after eight were found guilty of exploiting her health after a dementia diagnosis.

L'Oreal Chairman and CEO Jean-Paul Agon expressed "great admiration" for Bettencourt.

Liliane Bettencourt was the daughter of Eugene Schueller, who founded L'Oreal in the early 20th century.
