Shania Twain Boards Scott Borchetta's Singing Competition Series as Mentor

Get ready to see a whole lot more of Shania Twain, as she amps up her TV appearances to promote her new album, NOW, which comes out next week.

Twain, a five-time Grammy award-winning artist, turns out to be the marquee Canadian singer the producers earlier promised as a third mentor.

The country superstar joins Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie and OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, assisting coaches, including Borchetta, on The Launch, a six-part talent search series that sees unsigned musicians battle to create the next chart-topping song.

The four mentors then pick two finalists to work with a renowned producer and perform the song again, with the victor becoming the official singer of the track.

Bell Media says the show is "being readied for an upcoming worldwide rollout".

Shania's first studio album in 15 years, NOW, comes out September 29.

The Launch is executive produced by Borchetta, Lennox and Brunton; Cox and Paul Franklin are Showrunners and Executive Producers. Additional credits include CTV Specialty Programming VP Pat DiVittorio, and Content and Programming President Mike Cosentino.
