Sony has launched a new smartphone in India under its XA series called Sony Xperia XA1 Plus.

On the camera front, the Xperia XA1 Plus sports a 23MP Exmor RS sensor and hybrid autofocus camera sensor on the rear with a wide angle f/2.0 aperture.

The phone is priced at Rs 24,990 and it will be available in all Sony Center and major retail stores in India starting from September 22, 2017.

For those who can not afford the high-end smartphones in the market, from Sony or otherwise, the Xperia XA1 Plus serves as a good alternative.

The smartphone is priced at Rs 24,990 and will be available starting September 22 through offline stores in Blue, Black and Gold colours.

The Xperia XA1 features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 401ppi pixel density. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 Octa-core SoC with Mali-T880 GPU, coupled with 3 GB or 4 GB RAM with 32 GB onboard storage with a dedicated Micro SD card slot (up to 256 GB). For the selfie enthusiasts, the device packs an 8 MP front-facing camera with 1080p video recording capability. The intuitive fingerprint sensor is included in the power button.

Its connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, GLONASS, Wi-Fi Direct, WLAN, Bluetooth, USB OTG, and USB Type-C. The device runs on a custom version of Android Nougat 7.1.1 with a promised update to Android Oreo in the near future. It measures 155 x 75 x 8.7 mm and weighs 190 grams.
