Bucks waive former Aquinas, Wisconsin star Bronson Koenig

Bucks waive former Aquinas, Wisconsin star Bronson Koenig”

If he is not claimed, he becomes a free agent and can negotiate a new contract.

The Milwaukee Bucks have requested waivers on guard Bronson Koenig, ending his tenure with the organization after he signed back in July.

Koenig was one of 12 Bucks on the Summer League roster which played in Las Vegas this year. "And I'm on an National Basketball Association roster".

He showed in the NCAA and in the Summer League that he is a talented player, and he may just need to gain more experience and additional workouts to help his game improve further to get noticed by scouts from the National Basketball Association in the future.

Koenig's deal was reportedly for two years and would have given him the opportunity to play for the Wisconsin Herd in Oshkosh and spend up to 45 days during the season with the Bucks. By the time he graduated, he held the Badgers' all-time mark for made 3-point field goals.

With Thursday's move, Milwaukee now has both of its two-way spots open, having also parted ways with Jalen Moore earlier this month. The Bucks begin training camp with their media day event on Monday at the new Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin Sports Science Center in Downtown. Their first practice will be on Tuesday.
