Francia Raisa reveals scar after donating kidney to SelGo”

This month, Selena Gomez announced that she underwent kidney transplant surgery earlier this summer-and the donor was her friend, actress Francia Raisa.

On Thursday, Raísa posted on Instagram again to show a photo of herself lifting weights at the gym, two scars visible on her stomach.

Following in the steps of her father, radio personality Renan Coello, Raisa also hosts radio show WTFrancia on Main Stage on Dash Radio.

She made the ultimate sacrifice when she donated her kidney to BFF Selena Gomez.

Gomez needed a kidney transplant due to her lupus. But although they appear nearly the same on the outside, on the inside, the best friends are bonded forever.

Raisa may be hitting the gym to prepare for her role in the Black-ish spinoff Grown-ish, in which she will play the character of Ana. I am incredibly blessed. "I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you", Gomez wrote on Instagram. "Selena is a great girl, and she also has a big heart, as does Francia". I'm very proud of both of them.

Lupus is a disease that causes a person's immune system to attack his or her organs and body tissue. Gomez first confirmed she has the condition in 2015.
