Gal Gadot, Kumail Nanjiani announced as upcoming "SNL" hosts

This will mark the first time either star has hosted the long-running NBC sketch series.

Meanwhile, Jay-Z, who dropped his new album titled 4:44, is more familiar with the show as the upcoming episode will be his fourth time serving as musical guest. Nanjiani's emotional rom-com The Big Sick was a smash both with critics and at the box office this summer, as was Gadot's turn as the title character in Wonder Woman. Gadot will next co-star in the highly anticipated "Justice League", arriving in theaters November 17. Smith dropped a new single, "Too Good at Goodbyes", on September 8 in preparation for his upcoming second studio album release.

The musical guest during Gadot's show will be Sam Smith, while Nanjiani will host the October 14 episode with musical guest P!nk, Reuters reported.

Pakistan American Nanjiani will host the October 14 episode with musical guest Pink. Pink is set to release her upcoming seventh studio effort Beautiful Trauma on October 13, a day before the episode airs. P!nk was recently honored at the MTV VMAs with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award in August.

This season SNL will be airing live simultaneously coast to coast.

"Saturday Night Live" is produced in association with Broadway Video.

Earlier, it was announced that actor Ryan Gosling will host the show's season premiere with rapper Jay-Z as the musical guest.
