President Trump, Kim Jong Un Exchange Insults Following Trump's Speech At UN

President Trump, Kim Jong Un Exchange Insults Following Trump's Speech At UN”

An obscure word used in Kim Jong-un's latest tirade against Donald Trump has the world scratching its head and reaching for the dictionary.

KCNA also published rare criticism of official Chinese media, saying comments on North Korea's nuclear program had damaged ties and suggested Beijing, its neighbor and only major ally, had sided with Washington. The crisis dominated the Trump's debut at this week's annual U.N. General Assembly meeting. Trump wrote in an early morning tweet.

"None other than Trump himself is on a suicide mission".

At the United Nations, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called for statesmanship to avoid "sleepwalking" into a war.

She said Kim's aim in developing nuclear weapons is "to fulfill a long-term desire on the part of the North Korean regime to reunify the Korean Peninsula under the Kim family regime and proliferate these weapons and blackmail other countries".

Abe, through a translator, echoed the president and said that pressure must be applied on Pyongyang "in a robust manner".

The minister rejected the latest United Nations sanctions over its sixth nuclear test as "unjustifiable".

"Foreign financial institutions are now on notice that going forward they can choose to do business with the United States or with North Korea, but not both", Mnuchin said. "Our new executive order will cut off sources of revenue that fund North Korea's efforts to develop the deadliest weapons known to humankind".

The president said "tolerance for this disgraceful practice must end now".

But this is not the first example of North Korea's caustic comments.

The ongoing war of words between the United States and North Korea saw several new fiery salvos Saturday, a day on which the USA military, in a show of force, flew bombers in worldwide airspace over waters east of North Korea.

South Korea said it was the first direct statement of its kind by a North Korean leader.

Thornton declined, however, to specify what the USA would do.

The speech came shortly after the Pentagon announced that USA bombers flew a mission over global waters near the east coast of North Korea that went farther north of the Demilitarized Zone than any US aircraft have this century.

All six of North Korea's nuclear tests thus far, dating to 2006, have been conducted in underground tunnels.

Trump called it "a lucky word'".

Earlier: The Pentagon said B-1B bombers from Guam, along with F-15C Eagle fighter escorts from Okinawa, Japan, flew in global airspace over waters east of North Korea on Saturday.

A senior USA diplomat says a North Korean hydrogen bomb test in the Pacific would be an "unprecedented act of aggression" by the communist nation.

Asked Thursday about new punishment for the North, Trump said: "We will be putting more sanctions on North Korea".

The rate of the rhetoric pouring from Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un meshes perfectly with the 24/7 news cycle.

On Thursday in New York, Trump announced the latest steps to punish foreign companies that deal with the North.

The United States and South Korea are technically still at war with North Korea because the 1950-53 Korean conflict ended with a truce and not a peace treaty.

Kim is also using the drama to reinforce his leadership, they add.
