Lebron James slams Trump over comments on National Football League players

Lebron James slams Trump over comments on National Football League players”

The 32-year-old National Basketball Association icon slammed Trump in a tweet on Saturday morning, calling him a "bum" and saying he ruined the once time-honored tradition of athletes visiting the White House after winning a championship.

"Our Great American Flag (or Country) and should stand for the National Anthem".

Championship sports teams visiting the president at the White House goes back to the days of Andrew Johnson.

"I don't want to go", the 29-year-old said.

"I$3 t's not just me going to the White House", Curry stated.

James, who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers and has won three NBA championships and four NBA MVP awards, campaigned for Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton, Trump's rival, during the presidential election campaign.

"It's surreal, to be honest", Curry said after that practice had concluded at the team's facility in downtown Oakland.

Now, Curry himself has shared his thoughts on the situation, saying it was "surreal", and lamenting that Trump's actions are "not what leaders do". Nonetheless, with Trump's political views and values clearly not in line with that of several Warriors players', it's no wonder why the team had a hard time deciding. "With all due respect to everybody, I just believe that we need to get our acts together collectively, all of us". So therefore ain't no invite.

"U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going!

During Warriors" media day on Friday, Stephen Curry said he and the team would decide whether they would attend the White House in February as part of the annual tradition with NBA Champions. At a rally in Alabama Friday, the president said that kneeling players should be "fired", while referring to those in question as a "son of a b--h".
