World's ex-heaviest woman Eman Abdul Atti passes away at 37”

Former world's heaviest woman, Eman Ahmed, who was undergoing treatment in Abu Dhabi, died on Monday after her condition got complicated.

Officials from the Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi confirmed the news, adding that numerous co-morbid conditions including heart diseases and kidney dysfunction resulted in her death. She was supervised by a team of more than 20 doctors from different disciplines who had successfully improved her health since she arrived in the UAE.

The world's heaviest woman (at 500 kg) from Egypt had managed to lose 65 kgs after her treatment in the UAE, the Burjeel Hospital.

Eman's family expressed their appreciation for the care and treatment provided to her by Burjeel hospital. She was admitted to an Abu Dhabi hospital in May to undergo long-term physical and psychological rehabilitation after a drastic weight-loss operation in India. She was put on a special liquid diet to reduce her weight enough so that doctors could perform bariatric surgery.

Previously, doctors had shared videos of her recovery, claiming that she was healing three times faster than they had planned.
