North Korea Nerve Agent Stockpile a 'Huge Concern'

North Korea Nerve Agent Stockpile a 'Huge Concern'”

A magnitude 3.4 quake has been detected in North Korea, China's natural disaster administration says.

South Korea's presidential office said in a statement that a handful of its government agencies "still maintain [the quake] was natural and not from an explosion".

North Korea is reportedly moving aircraft in an effort to strengthen its defenses after the rogue nation's foreign minister said that President Trump's tweets amount to a declaration of war.

Frustrated that China had not done more to rein in North Korea, the Trump administration considered new sanctions in July on small Chinese banks and other firms doing business with Pyongyang, two senior USA officials told Reuters.

Monitoring groups estimate that the nuclear test conducted in North Korea earlier this month had a yield of 250 kilotons, which is 16 times the size of the United States bomb that destroyed Hiroshima in 1945.

North Korean textile exports in 2016 totaled USD750 million, according to South Korea's Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. Previous quakes from North Korea have indicated nuclear tests by the reclusive state, the most recent earlier this month.

One perhaps unexpected response to the North Korean threat was Saturday's announcement that China will no longer buy North Korean textiles and will limit its exports of refined oil products to the DPRK to 2 million barrels a year beginning January 1.

Even if North Korea were to fire at the US, he's confident that the military could help.

China's action was no more than a public relations ploy. There are no limits on crude oil.

Until now, the North has not tested its missiles and nuclear weapons together, opting instead to fire them separately - the missiles above ground and the nuclear weapons below.

In particular, at the last UN General Assembly, the President of the United States Donald trump stated about the readiness of the United States "completely destroy" North Korea. Luther Strange, Trump lashed out against Kim, telling the crowd, "we can't have madmen out there shooting rockets all over the place".

The pair were at odds over President Trump's speech at the United Nations General Assembly, in which he threatened to "totally destroy" North Korea if forced to do so in defence of the U.S. or its allies. "You are protected. Nobody's going to mess with our people". In two July flight tests, those missiles showed potential capability to reach deep into the USA mainland when perfected.
