Trump using sports to try and divide us - LeBron James”

While continuing the bashing of Donald Trump for allegedly dividing the whole nation in his own row with the sporting world, National Basketball Association superstar and Cleveland Warrior forward Lebron James said that he did not mind calling the President of the United States of America a "bum".

Nearly 200 NFL players knelt during the national anthem on Sunday in protest following recent criticism from President Trump.

In widespread protests at the weekend, players responded by kneeling, linking arms or staying in the locker room.

LeBron James said he supported Kyrie Irving while he was a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he won't help him out now. I'm not going to let one individual, no matter their power, ever use sport as a platform to divide us.

The 32-year-old Cleveland forward also stated the fact that it's the people who run this country not one individual.

And while James hasn't considered taking a knee when the NBA's regular season starts up again in a couple of weeks, he said he will continue to speak out and educate the people of Ohio. Sports is so unbelievable, what sports can do for everyone, no matter shape, size, race; brings people together like no other.

James commented on the support that National Football League players got not only from teammates but from team owners as well, some of whom also took the field Sunday in solidarity. It brings people together like none other.

Jefferson's top-five list is hard to argue, but James might have a thing or two to say about the top spot when it's all said and done.

"I would probably go MJ (Michael Jordan) one, well no I know I'd go MJ one, LeBron two, Kareem (Adbul-Jabbar) three", he said.

"He doesn't understand how many kids, no matter their race, look up to the president of the United States for guidance, for leadership, for words of encouragement", James said. "He doesn't understand that, and that's what makes me more sick than anything".

The decision led to boos from certain sections of the stands and supporters have admitted to being conflicted about both the protest and the President's response.

"I served it for one objective only: to make sure that every American has the right and the freedom to express whatever they want".
