Woman dragged off Southwest Airlines flight”

CBS Baltimore reported a passenger on a flight from Baltimore to Los Angeles was pulled off a Southwest Airlines plane on Tuesday night by police.

While boarding, the woman notified Southwest staff of her allergy after seeing two dogs, one a pet and the other a service animal, on the flight with her. "Our Flight Crew made repeated attempts to explain the situation to the Customer", the statement continued, "however, she refused to deplane and law enforcement became involved". The airline's policy says a passenger may be denied boarding if they report a life-threatening allergic reaction without a medical certificate and can not travel safely with an animal, Southwest said.

The woman, who claimed to be a professor, repeatedly asked the officers what they were doing and stated they ripped her trousers as she struggled to break free.

The officers who were dragging the woman repeatedly ordered her to walk as they were still holding on to her. She begins shrieking, "Don't touch me!" She was then forcibly removed by law enforcement officers.

It happened after the customer refused to leave the aircraft on her own.

In video on social media, the woman is seen being grab by her arms, then held by the chest as airport police officers pushed her down the aisle and off of the plane. She can be heard yelling, "don't touch me", and at one point also accused the officers of ripping her trousers.

At one point, the woman is heard telling the officers, "My dad has a surgery".

The Southwest Airlines incident is reminiscent of a similar controversy aboard United Airlines, in which a now-viral video showed Dr. David Dao being bloodied as he was dragged off of a plane.
