Person stabbed in Midtown Manhattan, attacker flees in van”

- Police in NY are looking for a stabbing suspect after an Uber driver was stabbed in Midtown Manhattan.

The suspect rode up and attacked the victim at 54th Street and Park Avenue at about 5 p.m., NYPD and FDNY spokesmen said.

The culprit fled the scene in a grey van, sources said.

Witnesses told police the suspect ran around frantically for a minute then drove off in a gray van that was last seen driving eastbound on 50th Street.

"He ran away. He stabbed him and ran off on foot". And I was just scared, like get out the was because everyone was just like trying to record. "And he called 911 right away", she said. "So you know, before anybody else gets hurt", a man added.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

The suspect is still at large.
