Pakistan to Give US List of Terrorists Next Month”

Dr Abdullah called on President Ramnath Kovind and met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Afghanistan's Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah on Friday thanked India for its "generous contributions" in reconstructing the war-torn nation and slammed Pakistan for its role in destabilizing the country. "That is a very serious challenge for us and for the whole region", Abdullah said. "Terrorist groups are a threat to us all". The Kabul airport was attacked by terrorists just before Abdullah's delegation was to leave.

Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that there is a need to engage all the regional countries for establishing peace and stability in Afghanistan as they have the biggest stake in its stability. The terrorists "could cause us some delay", he said, "but they could not stop us".

The challenges posed by terrorism are not unique to Afghanistan, Abdullah added, but his country "happens to be in the forefront of the challenge". "We cannot take responsibility for Afghanistan's peace and security and be asked to achieve what the combined strength of some of the most powerful and richest countries could not accomplish", Mr. Asif said.

"But our wisdom says that human dignity will prevail and acts of terror would be condemned to fail". He said in addition to the federal security force3s, provinces have also formed their anti terrorism courts to provide security to CPEC projects. To bring peace in the country, Afghanistan will always have its doors open for talks and negotiations, he said.

"We want to assure our neighbouring countries that Afghanistan is not a threat to anyone".

But no nation can have the power to dictate terms or a veto when its comes to Afghanistan's interests and foreign policy.

India and Afghanistan today agreed that the issue of safe havens and sanctuaries needs to be addressed effectively as visiting Afghanistan CEO Dr. Abdullah Abdullah concluded a successful two day visit to New Delhi. The Pakistan government has prepared its strategy for the Washington-Islamabad dialogue next month and is set to reiterate its demand for action against all groups directly or indirectly involved in fuelling lawlessness and terrorist acts in Pakistan while operating from Afghanistan.

Abdullah said Afghanistan can play its "rightful" role as a bridge between South Asia and Central Asia. He mentioned that Afghanistan will receive the first shipment of wheat through Chabahar in a few days.

Iran's Chabahar port lies outside the Persian Gulf and is easily accessed from India's western coast, bypassing Pakistan.
