PM Modi addresses a Public Rally in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh”

PM Modi during his visit to Bilaspur would lay the foundation of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), which would prove to be a landmark, in providing quality health services.

This is Modi's first rally in Bilaspur after becoming the Prime Minister and third in HP. The BJP has so far managed to quell intra-party squabbles and is depending on Modi's charisma to score a win in the elections.

In 2012, Bharatiya Janta Party had 29 seats in the Vidhan Sabha but were lost due to the conflict between former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Shanta Kumar.

Chauhan said Modi had visited the state twice in the past but the people had got nothing except "false promises", as the employment opportunities had reduced and prices had gone up. Christened Abhaar Rally to express gratitude for central developmental projects, it will be held at the Luhnu ground of Bilaspur, said Pawan Rana, the BJP's organisational secretary.

Union minister for Health and Family Welfare, JP Nadda is personally overseeing the arrangements for PM's rally as it is under his constituency.

# Earlier there used to be only news about scams & corruption. It is also part of the parliamentary constituency of three-time BJP MP Anurag Thakur.

PM Modi lays foundation stone of AIIMS in Bilaspur.

The party is expecting participation of over 1 lakh people in the rally.

PM Modi also inaugurated a Steel Processing Unit of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and TATA Digital Nerve Centre. In September, BJP president Amit Shah addressed Hunkar rally in the state galvanising support for the party. The prime minister also laid the foundation stone for an Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) at Una. The central government has also announced 61 national highways in the state besides starting Amrit pharmacies to supply low-priced medicines.
