Refunds in Question After Fall Ball Goes On Without Lil Wayne

Refunds in Question After Fall Ball Goes On Without Lil Wayne”

A person close to the superstar rapper's camp who asked for anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter confirmed to The Associated Press that Lil Wayne had a seizure. Weezy was reportedly a no-show after he refused to go through mandatory security checks to enter the building.

The refunds promised to fans of rapper Lil Wayne after he refused to pass through a security check to enter a SC arena and skipped the concert have been thrown into question.

A statement released on behalf of the Colonial Life Arena reads: "The safety of its patrons, its performers, and its staff members is and continues to be the number one priority for Colonial Life Arena". Colonial Life Arena had previously said Sunday that refunds would be issued Monday.

Lil Wayne was among several artists, including 2 Chainz, Tory Lanez and Cardi B, on the Fall Ball lineup.

Wayne was the headliner for the second annual Fall Ball at the Colonial Life Arena. According to local outlet WIS, the promotional company will not refund tickets due to Wayne's cancellation, stating their side is legally protected by contract wording that didn't overpromise the rapper as a headliner. He was found unconscious in his room at the Westin Hotel on Michigan Avenue back on September 3, and he was taken to a hospital in Chicago.
