Barca back for Coutinho in January

Barca back for Coutinho in January”

El Mundo Deportivo is reporting that Barcelona are readying a new bid for Liverpool hotshot Philippe Coutinho.

The Catalan giants saw several summer offers for the Brazilian worldwide rejected but according to El Mundo Deportivo, are willing to offer €80m upfront plus an additional €30m in add-ons this January.

After failing to secure a move to the Nou Camp Coutinho has since met with Jurgen Klopp and the pair have managed to put a fractious summer behind them.

Mundo Deportivo says that the Brazil global remains keen on a move to the Nou Camp and is still in contact with the Barcelona board and some players including Paulinho and Luis Suarez.

The report claims that Barcelona have made a decision to stick with the same bid they put forward in the summer as they believe that it reflects a fair price for the Brazilian.

However, the paper readily acknowledges that Liverpool are once again unlikely to accept the offer and will instead stay true to their reported €200m (£177m) valuation.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo says that Coutinho believes he can't afford to miss out on a move to Barcelona for a second time and has asked his representatives to convince Liverpool to reduce their demands in a bid to complete the move.

Coutinho, meanwhile is now with the Brazil squad preparing for Thursday's World Cup qualifying match against Bolivia at the Estadio Hernando Siles.
