Las Vegas shooter's father was on the FBI's most wanted list

Las Vegas shooter's father was on the FBI's most wanted list”

On Sunday, 59 people were killed and hundreds more were wounded when hundreds of rounds of gunfire rained down on them from Paddock's room on the 32nd floor of a nearby hotel.

Snyder said 12 of the guns found in the hotel room were fitted with so-called bump-stock devices that allow the guns to be fired virtually as automatic weapons.

Two weeks after this gesture, Stephen Paddock, 64, would become the author of the bloodiest attack from the United States history, which unfolded during a country music festival from Las Vegas, writes CNN.

Almost a decade later, Paddock did escape while serving a 20-year sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution at La Tuna in Texas.

An FBI poster circulating online says Benjamin was "diagnosed as psychopathic, has carried firearms in commission of bank robberies" and "reportedly has suicidal tendencies and should be considered armed and very risky".

The suspect's brother, Eric Paddock, told CNN Monday his brother was an accountant who gambled large sums of money.

He said that Paddock "didn't seem like he was the type of guy to do that".

In 1968, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock escaped federal prison in Texas, which landed him on the FBI's most wanted list, NBC News reported. His family said they don't know Stephen Paddock and had no knowledge of he and Marilou's relationship.

"I felt him get shot in the back", she told "Anderson Cooper 360".

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, saying Paddock was a soldier for the terror group who converted to Islam a few months ago.

Investigators say it is believed she was there to visit family, although this has not been confirmed. He resides here locally. "I didn't even know he knew about guns". Police are trying to piece together a motive.

"I can't get into the mind of a psychopath at this point", Lombardo said.

Marilou Danley's sisters were interviewed by Australia's Channel 7 TV network with their faces obscured and their names withheld.

The Clark County Sheriff has said Danley is considered a "person of interest" after her boyfriend, Stephen Paddock, opened fire from his hotel room, killing 59 people at a musical performance.

The official said USA authorities were eager to question Danley, who described herself on social media websites as a "casino professional", mother and grandmother, about whether Paddock encouraged her to leave the United States before he went on his rampage. A onetime high-limit hostess for a club within the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa in Reno, Danley posted several photos from Las Vegas gambling tournaments, including one from a stay at Mandalay Bay in 2014.

Mr Paddock, a former licensed pilot, had no police record beyond a traffic infringement and authorities believe the crime was not connected to worldwide terrorism.
