Prankster Lee Nelson hands Theresa May P45 in Tory Party Conference chaos

Prankster Lee Nelson hands Theresa May P45 in Tory Party Conference chaos”

Theresa May was interrupted during her conference speech by a protestor who handed her a P45 and said: "Boris asked me to give this to you".

Nelson - a known prankster whose real name Simon Brodkin - handed her the paper, causing her to stumble over her words before the individual was removed from the stage.

"Shows what good the chancellor's cough sweet is", she said, as she continued to attempt to give her speech.

The comedian was swiftly taken away by security before May recovered to say: 'I was about to talk about someone I'd like to give a P45 to and that's Jeremy Corbyn'.

Prior to the incident, the Prime Minister had apologised for her performance in the 2017 General Election campaign.

She admitted the party's efforts under her direction had been "too scripted, too presidential", allowing the Labour Party to portray the Conservatives as "the voice of continuity" as opposed to "the voice of change".

She won long applause from party delegates as she said: "We did not get the victory we wanted because our national campaign fell short". "I hold my hands up for that".

He told reporters: "Boris told me to do it".

Brodkin, who performs under the pseudonym Lee Nelson, rose to fame after gate crashing a Federation Internationale de Football Association press conference and throwing dollar bills at the outgoing president Sepp Blatter.

Ms May's much-anticipated speech was also disrupted by a persistent cough, which forced her to stop at several points to drink water and take a cough sweet from the Chancellor, Philip Hammond. "I take responsibility. I led the campaign and I am sorry".
