Kit Harington Hilariously Reveals How He Ruined His Proposal to Rose Leslie

Kit Harington, the Game of Thrones star who has just got engaged to his former on-screen love interest Rose Leslie, has landed the show with a headache: the filming schedule for the final series has to fit around the nuptials.

Of course, that phrase is, ah, quite loaded, and a red-faced Harington quickly clarified, "Sorry, that's a really bad expression!"

Harington and Leslie announced their engagement with a small announcement in The Times last month. "Not blew my load".

In a May 2016 Vogue interview Harington said it wasn't hard to get starry-eyed over Leslie, especially when they were already doing so on the show in Season 2.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, which will air in the United Kingdom on ITV on Saturday (07.10.17), Kit revealed: "I rang them up and I said, "I'm getting married and it's your fault actually".

"I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff." he said.

However, the wedding will not be Game Of Thrones themed in the slightly. "There is absolutely no chance of me convincing (fiancée) her of that". "I was meant to do it the day after with the lights", he explained.

And looks like die-hard fans of the show and Jon Snow loyalists might be up for some more disappointment, in case one's expecting a Winterfell-style wedding.

"The amusing thing is, all the art department - the hair and makeup and the horse riding team - they all know, they get the script but they're not allowed to tell the actors".

"My family does April Fools". And I was there going, 'April Fools!' When my laughing died down, it took some making up...

Actress Liv Tyler, presenter Sue Perkins, singer Mary J Blige and comedian Rob Beckett also appear on The Jonathan Ross Show, airing on Saturday at 9.45pm on ITV.
