Jaguars rule out starting center Linder, promote Reed

Jaguars rule out starting center Linder, promote Reed”

The team announced on Saturday that it has promoted interior offensive lineman Chris Reed to the 53-man roster for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Less than three weeks after he signed to reunite with his college coaching staff, quarterback Ryan Nassib was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Linder missed practice earlier this week and had been listed as questionable against the Steelers (3-1).

Linder's absence means the Jaguars will be without their starting center. Tyler Shatley is expected to start in Linder's place.

Nassib spent his first four National Football League seasons serving as a backup to New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

As for Strong, hes yet to dress for a game this season since joining the Jaguars. He has yet to play for the Jaguars since being claimed off waivers from Houston on September 19. Veteran Chad Henne is Jacksonville's No. 2 quarterback behind perpetually embattled starter Blake Bortles.
