Say Hello To The Porsche 911 GTS British Legends Editions”

The right-hand-drive Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS British Legends Editions bring a piece of the carmaker's Le Mans heritage to the road, paying hommage to the victories of Richard Attwood (1970), Derek Bell (1982) and Nick Tandy (2015). The Attwood model is connected to the Porsche 917 racecar by using white stripes over Guards Red, while the 956-inspired Bell machine mixes Rothmans-like white, along with red and gold sticker over Saphire Blue Metallic.

The cars were specced after discussions with the three drivers about what features were important to them, which means a manual gearbox is available (obviously), the interiors are festooned in Alcantara, and LED headlights are fitted as standard (because Le Mans = lots of light driving).

Based on a standard Carrera 4 GTS, there are three British Legend Editions available; one for each driver featuring the exterior colour and livery for their race vehicle.

Each vehicle is unique to the driver and comes with the number of their Porsche winning auto, a Union Jack symbol and the driver's signature.

The three British Legends Edition 911s are more than just aesthetic homages, however.

Further kit bundled with the British Legends Edition 911 Carrera 4 GTSs includes carbon door panels and dashboard trims, satin-black wing mirrors, an extended rear spoiler, lashings of Alcantara suede-effect fabric, a colour-matched rear engine lid and air vents, auto-dimming mirrors and cruise control.

Porsche delivers a trio of special edition 911 4 GTS models for the United Kingdom, with each special edition built to honour a trio of British Porsche drivers - Bell, Attwood and Tandy.

The Attwood-designed Guards Red 911 is £122,376, while Bell's Sapphire Blue vehicle and Tandy's Carrera White 911s are £123,210.
